Bible Study

The following groups meet on a weekly basis to explore God's word in Bible study, discussion and prayer.

All these groups are characterised by friendship, support and openness leading to meaningful discussion and sharing of how we learn from God's word and direct our lives accordingly.  These fellowships are suitable for all, from the new enquirer to the more mature Christian.  Biscuits, cake, tea and coffee are integral parts of the meetings and must surely aid the thought processes and the discussion!

Tuesday Bible Study Group

This group is held in the church hall and meets for tea and coffee at 11:00 am prior to the Bible Study at 11:30 am.  It is open to anyone who is interested in exploring what the Bible has to say to us about our day-to-day lives - good days/bad days.  The group is very practical - no need to have Bible Learning and it's your choice whether you want to talk or just listen.

Bible studies in Autumn 2017 started on 3 October and are currently looking at the 23rd Psalm

These are individual studies, so it is possible to come for one or two studies or the complete series.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study Group

This group runs each Wednesday at 7:30 pm in the Small Hall.

Starting on Wednesday 25 October 2017, a short series, entitled The Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren, will open with an introductory evening.

As with other groups, you can come to any or all of these meetings.

Thursday House Group

This fellowship group meets on Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm.

The current series of meetings will run for 8 weeks from 12 October 2017 using material based on the story of Elijah which is described as:

"terrorist threats on an international scale, suicide bombers, security alerts, economic meltdown ... Our families, our future, our employment, our personal safety - all the basic building blocks of our lives seem more precarious than ever before. The story of Elijah has a great deal to teach us about living in a threatening and insecure world - not just in survival mode but confidently and courageously."
