St John's Guild
The Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.
They meet in the Large Hall on Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 pm from October to March (except at Christmas and New Year).
Session 2017-18 will commence on Wednesday, 4 October at 1:30 pm with a Meet and Greet meeting. This is the third year of a 3-year cycle of projects:
|Feed the minds||Breaking the cycle of FGM (female genital mutilation)|
|Ascension Trust (Scotland) - Street Pastors||Working with Churches to identify where they are needed|
|Prospects - All friends together||Helping Churches working to welcome end include people with learning disabilities|
|Christian Aid||Working in Bolivia to help save the rain forest in the Amazon|
|Mission International - Haiti Project||Their aim is to build a Church based school/community centre in the poorest of areas. To feed body and spiritual needs|
|Care for the family - Let's stick together||To work with Christian compassion to help support families in need, Families of any faith or none|
